There are some great annual events in Napa Valley, and one of our favorites is the Napa Valley Marathon. The Wine Country is a beautiful place to run, with expansive vineyards and rolling hills. When you participate in the Napa Valley Marathon, you will be taking in beautiful views as you make your journey along the marked course. This outdoor annual event occurs in March, giving you time to plan your Napa Valley visit in advance. Here is what you need to know when planning to attend the Napa Valley Marathon!

Before you can run in the Napa Valley Marathon, you will need to register. You can register online now via a provided form. Then after completing this process, confirm your registration and let the planning begin!

What to Expect During the Napa Valley Marathon

The Napa Valley Marathon is one of the most anticipated events of the year in California. Breathtaking scenery awaits and a one-of-a-kind experience is inevitable. During the race, you can expect plenty of guidance and help if you should need it. There are 13 aid stations along the set Napa Valley Marathon course, offering water, Gatorade Endurance, medical supplies, and more. There are also oranges and bananas available along the second half of the course to keep your energy up! You will have everything you need for a successful and safe marathon.

Not Ready for a Full Marathon? Run the 5K!

There is also a 5K option for those who do not want to run the full Napa Valley Marathon. This is a great idea for those who can’t go to the full marathon distance or are waiting for their marathoners to finish the race. You will receive a T-shirt and a medal for participating in this event.

So, You’ve Reached the Finish Line

As you reach the finish line of the Napa Valley Marathon, your time will be displayed on the digital clock above. A disposable chip will record your official time, and you will be greeted by a volunteer who will present you with your Napa Valley Marathon medal and any help you may need. After you finish the race, there is a place to shower and then relax and enjoy live music. You can also enjoy hot soup, rolls, fresh fruit, organic yogurt, water, and other treats!
