“I actually encourage my staff to take risks when getting to know the guests,” Innkeeper Jim explains. “Humor is a great ice-breaker but it can also get you into trouble sometimes, and putting your real self out there to total strangers can be scary. But if you risk it, they probably won’t be total strangers for long.”

The Wine Country Inn’s social atmosphere is built around our Common Room, where we serve a fun and tasty Full Buffet Breakfast every morning and we host a lively and entertaining Wine Social every afternoon.The Innkeeper and his staff specialize in making everyone feel at home and a part of a special Napa Valley experience. Lively discussions of the day’s touring or the evening’s dining choices are not uncommon during the Wine Social (4:30 – 6:00 p.m. every evening) and though breakfast might be more subdued, the staff can many times be seen flitting from table to table dispensing their Napa Valley knowledge.

HOWEVER, if you have come to the Napa Valley to find quiet and seclusion, we encourage that as well. Bringing breakfast back to your room is fun, finding one of our hidden garden spots is encouraged or purchasing a bottle of wine and having your own wine social in the privacy of your room could be just the ticket
