Each cottage is 800 sq ft with hardwood floors, a comfortable sitting area, fireplace, reading nook, wet bar, refrigerator with ice-maker, coffee-maker, stereo, King bed, jetted 2-person tub, 3-headed walk-in shower, dual vanity with fogless mirrors, heated tile floors and a spacious patio or deck with teak furnishings, retractable awning, lots of potted flowers, a private fountain and privacy landscaping.

The Wine Country Inn has 24 individually decorated guest rooms in addition to the 5 luxury cottages. To decorate our rooms, the whole family got involved. Grandmother Nummy, mother Marge and daughter Kate made quilts, stitcheries, watercolors and acrylic landscapes as well as more eclectic items like painted drift wood and faux finished walls. Father Ned and brothers Doug and Jim scavenged old barn wood, doors and wainscoting to add an old character to the rooms and while Jim was out photographing the valley, Doug was building new beds as well as reworking antique beds to fit Queen mattresses.

Room 5 - Though it's hard to tell from this picture, this is a very sunny room with a wonderful outlook through the olive orchard and vineyards. Though the bed looks like it takes up the whole room there is a little sitting area and wonderful Swedish fireplace.

Room 6 - The centerpiece of this room is a great four poster canopied bed that was handmade by a friend. If blue and white is your thing, this is your room. 

Room 7 - This is a great room for when you need two beds. It has a beautiful rustic Queen bed with a brass Twin bed off to the side. It also has a cozy window seat for reading and enjoying the view. • Room 7 video tour

Room 9 - This is our best view room. On the 3rd floor of the Main Building the sliding glass doors on one wall and twin large windows on the other take full advantage of the two best views on the property. It has a small balcony and wonderful Swedish fireplace as well. Look at the view.

Room 10 - What can I say? It's a great room but it has no specific distinction or story to tell. It has an extra bed for a 3rd person or for someone escaping a bed hog. It has a nice fireplace and view. It's a fine comfortable room. I guess I'll never make it on Madison Ave.

Room 11 - This room has a completely different feel than most of our rooms. It has a back woods cabin feel to it with the 100 year old barn wood on two of the walls and a deep textured plaster on the other walls. The fireplace, balcony and great vineyard view add to the feeling of being out in the country. If you only like bright airy rooms book 9 or 10 right across the hall.

Room 12 - Our friend Eric Smith (no relation) recently made a beautiful 'half-canopy' for over the bed and rebuilt the reading nook, adding a lot of charm to an already charming room with a covered balcony and great view. Look at the window seat. • Room 12 video tour

Room 14 - Bring the garden inside or at least into the enclosed balcony. The fireplace and canopied Queen bed give a very cozy feel to this large room.

Room 15 - Even our smallest room has wonderful features. This room has a beautiful high Queen sized four-poster bed and a 12-foot Mansard ceiling.

Room 16 - This is our smallest room but it is very cute. This was my sister Kate's first room to remodel and she had a lot of fun with it. Believe it or not it has a tractor theme! Look at the sitting area. • Room 16 video tour

Room 17 - One of our two smaller Suites, this room features a Queen Bed, separate sitting room and a great 2-person jetted-tub with 2-headed shower. The large deck adds nice outdoor space. Look at the separate sitting room.

Room 18 - My sister-in-law Carolyn, who was a set designer for videos before having a couple of great kids, decorated this room in what I have come to call Generation-X subtle-chic.
It has a nice deck and vineyard view.

Room 19 - This room is almost in the olive orchard. From the bedroom window you look out through the orchard. It is one of our only rooms with a separate sitting room set up for late night readers. It also has a jetted 2-person tub and a nice deck with a vineyard view.

Room 20 - This is our most luxurious room besides the cottages. The large bedroom has a King bed, sitting area, wet bar and fireplace. It opens onto a large covered balcony. The bathroom includes a walk-in 2-headed shower, heated tile floor, large double vanity and 2-person jetted-tub with a great valley view. See the private bath...

Room 21 - This room's focal point is the giant mahogany Queen bed. The sitting area around the fireplace and the wonderful balcony with vineyard view help to make this a very popular room.
